South Korean Holidays

The Korean's celebrate the New Year (1-3 Jan.) and they also celebrate Children's Day (5 May). During the New Year Korean families get together for a big meal. Children bow to their grandparents and their other relatives as a sign of respect, the adults then give the children money or gifts.Most families dress in traditoinal clothing during this occasion. On Children's Day, the schools are closed and children often go to amusement parks.
